Installing version 1.7.0 clears the app's stored data, so each machine needs to sign in once after updating. See step 3.

The Scannable Production App runs on your production-line computer and works with a barcode scanner and NFC reader to link 2D codes (e.g. data matrix or QR) and NFC tags to unique serial numbers in the Scannable cloud. Each item you process becomes a Smart Product — when an equipment owner taps it with their phone, they can add it straight to their Scannable account with all the information already attached.

This guide covers setup (for first time tower users / purchasers), your first capture run, and the features you'll use day to day.

1. Connect the hardware

Plug the barcode scanner and NFC reader into your computer via USB. The Production App detects them automatically. The NFC reader reconfigures itself each time it connects, so there's nothing to set up on the reader.

2. Install the Scannable Production App

3. Sign in

There are two ways to connect the app to your Scannable account:

Sign in with your Scannable account

  1. Open the app and choose to sign in with your Scannable account

  2. Sign in in the browser window that opens

  3. When you're done, the browser page sends you back to the app

Or use an API key

  1. Log into the Scannable web app

  2. Go to Settings → API Keys

  3. Create a new API key and copy it

  4. In the Production App, open Settings and paste the key

If the app has no credentials yet, it opens on Settings so you can sign in.

4. Create a purchase order and a capture session

Capture runs now start from a purchase order in the Scannable web app. Previously this lived under Serialisation → Capture Serials.

  1. Go to the Production tab

  2. Click Create purchase order

  3. Add the product(s) and quantities on the order

  4. Under Serial numbers, choose Capture serials — this tells Scannable the serials and NFC will be captured on the production line rather than generated up front

  5. Fill in the order details — Purchase Order #, Sales Order #, Customer Reference, Batch #, Date of Manufacture

  6. Save

Saving creates a capture session for the purchase order. It's now Active and appears in the Production App as a job, ready to scan into. One purchase order can hold several SKUs — each gets its own capture progress.

5. Choose a job

Open the Production App. The job picker groups sessions by purchase order and shows the brand, product images and capture progress for each. Newest jobs are at the top.

  • Use the organisation sidebar to show one organisation's jobs

  • Use search to find a specific job

  • Select a run to open it

On an order with several SKUs, pick the SKU you're capturing — scans go to that SKU.

6. Choose your reader mode

Pick the mode that matches what you're doing:

  • Capture Serial and NFC (default) — scan a serial barcode, then tap an NFC tag to create a new linked pair. The serial must not already exist in Scannable.

  • Link Existing Serial and NFC — pair an existing serial with a different NFC tag, or re-pair a tag already linked to another item. Use this for damaged tags or mis-scans.

  • Capture Serial Only — scan the 2D code only, for products with no NFC tag

  • Capture NFC Only — tap the NFC tag only, for products with no 2D code

  • Get Item Status — look up an existing item to see what it's linked to

7. Capture items

Scan and/or tap each item. Submissions happen automatically, and the progress counter updates in real time.

A few things the app handles for you:

  • If you tap a tag that's already paired to another item, you'll be asked to confirm before it's reassigned.

  • If you scan a serial and don't tap a tag within 30 seconds, the serial is discarded so it can't get linked to the wrong tag. Just scan it again.

  • Stray data from the reader is ignored rather than saved as a serial.

When the last ordered unit is captured, the run closes automatically. Need to capture more? Click Reopen and keep scanning.

8. Review captured serials

Open the purchase order in the Production tab of the web app to see every linked serial. Click any serial to see its unique URL — this is what an end user sees when they tap the product with their phone.

You can close a run straight from the job list. To bring one back, show closed runs (from the last 7 to 180 days) and reopen it — no need to use the web app.

  • Chinese (Simplified)

  • Chinese (Traditional)

  • Vietnamese

Running multiple runs

You can have several purchase orders capturing at once — every active session appears in the job picker.

1. 连接硬件

通过 USB 将条码扫描器和 NFC 读写器连接到电脑，Production App 会自动识别。NFC 读写器每次连接时都会自动重新配置，读写器本身无需任何设置。

2. 安装 Scannable Production App

3. 登录

有两种方式可将应用连接到您的 Scannable 账户：

使用 Scannable 账户登录

  1. 打开应用，选择使用 Scannable 账户登录

  2. 在弹出的浏览器窗口中登录

  3. 完成后，浏览器页面会自动返回应用

或使用 API 密钥

  1. 登录 Scannable 网页版

  2. 进入 设置 → API 密钥

  3. 创建新的 API 密钥并复制

  4. 在 Production App 中打开 设置，粘贴密钥

如果应用尚未保存任何凭据，会直接打开设置页面以便登录。如果是 Scannable 服务本身出现问题，应用会明确提示，而不会误导您以为密钥有误。

4. 创建采购订单和采集会话

采集作业现在从 Scannable 网页版的采购订单开始。此前的"序列化 → 采集序列号"入口已移除。

  1. 进入 生产（Production） 标签页

  2. 点击 创建采购订单

  3. 填写订单信息——采购订单号、销售订单号、客户参考号、批次号、生产日期 [CONFIRM: exact field list on the new PO form]

  4. 添加订单中的产品和数量

  5. 在 序列号编号 下选择 采集序列号——这表示序列号将在生产线上采集，而非预先生成

  6. 保存

保存后会为该采购订单创建一个采集会话。此时状态为进行中，并以作业形式出现在 Production App 中，可以开始扫描。一个采购订单可包含多个 SKU，每个 SKU 有各自的采集进度。

5. 选择作业

打开 Production App。作业选择器按采购订单对会话分组，并显示每个作业的品牌、产品图片和采集进度。最新的作业排在最前。

  • 使用组织侧栏只显示某一组织的作业

  • 使用搜索查找特定作业

  • 选择一个会话即可打开

对于包含多个 SKU 的订单，请选择您正在采集的 SKU——扫描结果将归入该 SKU。

6. 选择读写模式

根据当前操作选择相应模式：

  • 采集序列号和 NFC（默认）——扫描序列号条码，然后轻触 NFC 标签，创建一组新的绑定。该序列号在 Scannable 中不得已存在。

  • 绑定现有序列号和 NFC——将已有序列号与另一个 NFC 标签配对，或重新绑定已与其他产品关联的标签。适用于标签损坏或误扫的情况。

  • 仅采集序列号——仅扫描二维码，适用于没有 NFC 标签的产品

  • 仅采集 NFC——仅轻触 NFC 标签，适用于没有二维码的产品

  • 查询产品状态——查询现有产品，查看其绑定信息

7. 采集产品

逐件扫描和/或轻触。数据会自动提交，进度计数实时更新。

应用会自动处理以下情况：

  • 如果轻触的标签已与其他产品绑定，系统会要求确认后才重新分配。

  • 如果扫描序列号后 30 秒内未轻触标签，该序列号会被丢弃，以免绑定到错误的标签。重新扫描即可。

  • 读写器产生的杂散数据会被忽略，不会被保存为序列号。

当订购数量的最后一件产品采集完成后，会话会自动关闭。需要继续采集？点击重新打开并继续扫描。

8. 查看已采集的序列号

在网页版的**生产（Production）**标签页中打开该采购订单，即可查看所有已绑定的序列号。点击任一序列号可查看其唯一 URL——这就是终端用户用手机轻触产品时看到的内容。

其他功能

关闭和重新打开会话

可直接在作业列表中关闭会话。如需恢复，显示已关闭的会话（最近 7 至 180 天内）并重新打开即可，无需使用网页版。

在每台电脑上显示相应的作业

如果您有多个工厂、操作员或供应商，可使用组织侧栏和搜索来缩小列表范围。

语言

Production App 的每个界面均支持以下语言：

  • 英语

  • 简体中文

  • 繁体中文

  • 越南语

同时运行多个会话

可同时有多个采购订单处于采集状态——所有进行中的会话都会显示在作业选择器中。

4. 建立採購單和擷取工作階段

擷取作業現在從 Scannable 網頁版的採購單開始。先前的「序列化 → 擷取序號」入口已移除。

  1. 前往 生產（Production） 分頁

  2. 點選 建立採購單

  3. 填寫訂單資訊——採購單號、銷售訂單號、客戶參考號、批號、製造日期

  4. 新增訂單中的產品和數量

  5. 在 序號編號 下選擇 擷取序號——這表示序號將在生產線上擷取，而非預先產生

  6. 儲存

儲存後會為該採購單建立一個擷取工作階段。此時狀態為進行中，並以工作形式出現在 Production App 中，可以開始掃描。一張採購單可包含多個 SKU，每個 SKU 有各自的擷取進度。

5. 選擇工作

開啟 Production App。工作選擇器按採購單將工作階段分組，並顯示每個工作的品牌、產品圖片和擷取進度。最新的工作排在最前。
