Using 2D codes with the mobile app to add equipment to your inventory
Tap the Scannable logo at the bottom of the app
Tap ‘Scan’
Scan the packaging barcode to search our database of equipment
Select the item you want to add
Tap ‘Add to Inventory’
Tap on the crosshairs on the right hand side of the Serial Number field
Scan the 2D code to enter the serial number (Petzl use a data matrix, but you can also scan QR codes). The Date of Manufacture may be automatically calculated from the serial number on your item
Enter the Date of First Use and other information you may wish to record
Tap ‘Add to Inventory’
From here, if you’re adding NFC to your equipment, you can tap ‘+Add NFC’, or, simply scan the data matrix to manage your item without NFC

Tap ‘Scan’
Scan the 2D code
Your item will open. From here you can manage your item you need: perform inspections, check specifications, view history, etc.
