You can use any NFC tag with the Scannable app, like those that come built-in from manufacturers like Kong and 3M DBI Sala, as well as other NFC tags.

While we’ve put a bunch of time into research and development of NFC tags specifically to withstand the demands of working at height (like our carabiner tags that sit flush in the recess of most I and H beam carabiners, and our rope tags that go inside the end of your ropes), we ultimately believe the best option is to empower equipment manufacturers to embed NFC at the point of manufacture and load all of the item’s information at the same time, which is why we’re supporting brands like Beal to do this with Smart Products.
