You can leave an organisation yourself, on the web app or the mobile app. You don't need to contact support or wait for an admin.
Leaving removes your access to the organisation's inventory, inspections and team. Your inventory stays with the organisation. An admin can invite you back later.
You leave the organisation you are currently in. If you belong to several, switch to the one you want to leave first.
On the web app
Open your account page and select the Account tab.
Under Leave organisation, select Leave organisation.
Select Leave to confirm.
On the mobile app
Tap Profile.
Under Organisation, tap Leave organisation.
Tap Leave to confirm.
If you belong to other organisations, Scannable switches you into one of them.
If you are the only admin, you can still leave. Nobody will be able to manage the organisation's team or settings afterwards, so make someone else an admin first. See Roles.
If you are the last member of an organisation with a paid subscription, you can't leave it. Contact support to close the organisation or transfer ownership.
Joining or creating an organisation after leaving
When you leave your last organisation, you see a page where you can join or create an organisation. It's headed You are not in an organisation. From there you can:
Accept an invitation. Invitations sent to your email address appear under Your invitations. If you have none yet, ask an admin to invite you.
Create an organisation. Select Don't want to join? Create an organisation. See Creating an organisation.
Delete your account. Select Delete my account instead, then Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, your sign-in and any invitations sent to your email address. It can't be undone.
