Competent Person

Learn how to mark a team member a Competent Person so they can perform Thorough Examinations

💡 A user with the Admin Role in Scannable can mark members of their Team as a Competent Person. Members of an account who have been marked as a Competent Person can access the Thorough Examinations feature in the Inspections screen.

To mark a team member as a Competent Person in the web app

  1. Ensure you have Admin permissions

  2. In the ‘Team’ menu of your Scannable Dashboard, select the ‘Members’ tab

  3. Select the team member you want to mark as a Competent Person

  4. Check the tick-box underneath the team member’s role

  5. Click the ‘Update’ button

To mark a team member as a Competent Person in the Mobile App

  1. Tap 'Me' in the bottom-right corner

  2. Select 'Team'

  3. Tap on the team member whose access you want to update

  4. Use the dropdown to edit the team member's role

  5. Use the checkbox to edit the team member's competent person status

  6. Tap Update
