Manually Creating Products and Items

Can't find the product you're looking for in the Equipment Database? Learn how to add your own.

We are constantly adding and updating our equipment database. If you have an item that’s not already in the database, feel free to let us know and we’ll get it loaded for you. Just hit the chat button, or fire us an email: [email protected]

Manually creating an item using the mobile app

  1. Tap ‘Add Items’

  2. Use the search bar to search for the product

  3. If the search does not return a result or you cannot find the product you wish to add, Tap ‘+ Create Your Own’.

  4. Enter your item’s information

  5. Tap ‘Create Item’

  6. The item is added to your Inventory


Manually creating a new product using the web app

  1. In the Products section of your Scannable dashboard, click ‘+ Create Product’ in the top right hand corner

  2. Select your product group from the drop down menu: descenders, harnesses, etc.

  3. Enter the name of your product

  4. Enter the item’s part number or product code. You can also enter a SKU name and barcode if you have it

  5. If you are adding a rope or assembly (a product with more than one serialised item), you can add the details in the ‘Add components, original rope or rope splice/term’ field

  6. Click ‘Create Product’

  7. Your product is now available to add to inventory. From here you can also enrich the product’s data:

  8. Search for the product in the search bar and select it

  9. Complete the relevant fields in the 'Product Data' tab
