In inventory management, a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is the unique identifier or code used to identify a product.

A SKU helps to distinguish one product from another (these attributes can include manufacturer, description, material, size, colour, packaging, a difference in features, and warranty terms).

These identifiers are not regulated or standardised.

In Scannable, we use ‘SKU Name’ as a term to refer to the product’s name when creating a product
