You can group and manage items with removable parts, such as lanyards with carabiners, harnesses with rope bridges, or first aid kits. We call items with removable parts ‘Assemblies’.
You can add and remove parts from Assemblies, and manage each part just like any other item in your inventory: record inspection results, add dates of manufacture and first use, track expiry dates, and more.
You can only add, remove and manage parts from Assemblies (products that have been created with more than one serialised item). An Assembly will have a ‘Parts’ tab in its information screen.
Assembly Status
The status of an assembly (Safe/Not safe) takes into account the status of its parts.
If one or more of an Assembly’s parts has the status ‘Not safe’, the status of the Assembly will also be ‘Not safe’.
